Developmental Editing

Developmental Editing Service
A developmental editing service is a comprehensive, big-picture analysis of the various storytelling elements of your book. It’s perfect for authors who want to figure out what’s working and what’s not working in their book. It’s a chance to diagnose big-picture issues when there’s still time to improve them. If you’re committed to making your book the best possible version of itself, this one’s for you!

How it works
Step 1
Fill out the general inquiry questionnaire. It should only take a few minutes and will help me determine whether we are a good fit. I will get back to you within 48 hours.
Step 2
You’ll send me your manuscript, and I will perform a free sample edit (500-1000 words) of the kind of editing I believe it needs. This will help you determine if you like my editing style.
Step 3
If you would like, we can meet in person or over Zoom for 15 minutes to further discuss the kind of editor you are looking for.
Step 4
Based on all of these steps, it will now be up to you to decide if you would in fact like for me to edit your manuscript. We’ll set expectations, sign a contract, and set a hard deadline. Then I’ll get to work!
