Manuscript Critique Service

A manuscript critique service is an overall evaluation of your manuscript and is a great first step. I will review your manuscript and provide you with detailed feedback spanning 10 to 15 pages. This feedback will cover various aspects of your book, such as its strengths and weaknesses, structure and organization, character and setting, narrative pacing, and more. You will also have the opportunity to discuss the feedback with me. Seeking a manuscript critique service is crucial if you desire an expert opinion on your work, suggestions for revision, and guidance on your next steps.

How it works

Icons showing the four steps to working with Sirène Storyhouse. Sign up for a developmental editing service.

Step 1

Fill out the general inquiry questionnaire. It should only take a few minutes and will help me determine whether we are a good fit. I will get back to you within 48 hours.

Step 2

You’ll send me your manuscript, and I will perform a free sample edit (500-1000 words) of the kind of editing I believe it needs. This will help you determine if you like my editing style.

Step 3

If you would like, we can meet in person or over Zoom for 15 minutes to further discuss the kind of editor you are looking for.

Step 4

Based on all of these steps, it will now be up to you to decide if you would in fact like for me to edit your manuscript. We’ll set expectations, sign a contract, and set a hard deadline. Then I’ll get to work!
